On Wednesday, June 7th, Levitt and HarperCollins filed their memoranda of law in support of the motions to dismiss filed on June 2nd. HarperCollins’ memorandum deals with Count One, which is based on the passage in Freakonomics. Levitt’s memorandum adopts HarperCollins’ argument regarding Count One and then moves on to address in detail Count Two, which is based on the allegedly defamatory e-mail.
Lott’s response is due by Monday, July 10th. Levitt’s and HarperCollins’ replies are then due by Monday, July 24th.
