Massive Data on Law Schools Now Available for Download

Aba_guide_2 Prospective law students and advocates of alternative rankings have just gotten a major break.  The ABA Section on Legal Education and Admission to the Bar has posted all of its 2008 "Official Guide" data on its statistics website in downloadable Excel spreadsheet format.

Kudos to the ABA for its willingness to be transparent and facilitate informed student choice.  Also, Ted Seto (Loyola, LA) and Tom Bell (Chapman) deserve credit for their public and persistent urging of the ABA to take this step.  (See here, here and here.)
