Although John Lott's long-standing feud with and Steve Levitt (and others) was no secret, I must admit surprise (to say the least) to learn that the academic squabble recently turned legal (Andy's prior post links to some of the helpful background commentary on Lott v. Levitt). It also appears that Lott's defamation claim pivots, in part, on what the term "replication" means.
