My primary area of research is empirical analysis of the legal profession and legal education. For those readers with similar interests, here are two announcements:
- The Law & Society SSRN abstract journal is being subdivided into multiple categories to handle the large volume of submissions. I am the editor of the new "Law & Society: the Legal Profession" abstract journal, which will be publishing its first issue shortly. A summary of the subdivided journals and subscription links can be found here.
- There is a new Legal Professions Blog edited by Allen Childress (Tulane / GWU), Michael Frisch (Georgetown), and Jeff Lipshaw (Tulane). I have not had the pleasure of meeting Allen and Michael, but Jeff Lipshaw is one of the most creative and unconventional new voices in the blogsphere. In addition to his terrific intellect, Jeff is a former BigLaw partner and in-house Chief Legal Officer. His sense of realism and candor is utterly refreshing. I will be adding the Legal Professions Blog to my regular blog reading.
