Chris is a professor of Political Science at University of South Carolina who will be joining the Penn State faculty in January 2008. He is a noted methodologist with research interests covering a range of topics, including American and international political institutions, including federal government litigation, U.S. Supreme Court decision-making, international relations, and a wide array of quantitative methods. Prior to his appointment at South Carolina, Chris served as a Visiting Scientist and Program Director for the Law and Social Science Program at the National Science Foundation and Associate Professor and Winship Distinguished Research Professor of Political Science at Emory University.
